Love this assessment of the bike share system in SF! I was an early adopter of Ford GoBike/Bay Wheels and used it all the time when it first launched. The struggle to maintain the flight of e-bikes and the rising costs made it feel like less of a viable daily option and more of a "fun choice once in a while when I don't want my personal e-bike to get stolen" kind of thing. I hope the system is able to survive since it's far better than no bike share system at all. But personally, it's become more convenient and economical to have a nice personal e-bike and even a personal e-scooter that folds and never leaves my sight for security reasons to overcome the higher costs and issues with Lyft. I do think Wombi would be very well-received in the Bay Area!
